OSASEN’s degree of specialisation in the research and development of Point of Care (PoC) devices and systems based on biosensors with application to in vitro diagnosis includes the possibility of developing rapid tests that facilitate the diagnosis and monitoring of the disease.

In this sense, OSASEN is working on the application of its technology to obtain a new serological test that allows the rapid, simple and accurate detection of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in people who are or have been infected by the virus causing Covid-19.

Given the global relevance of the current crisis caused by Covid-19, OSASEN will intensify its efforts and resources to focus on this technological development, which can be used to diagnose patients with negative PCR and to carry out epidemiological studies to better understand the incidence and spread of the virus.
