BIOLAN HEALTH has completed the validation of its new Serological COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette that allows the rapid, simple and accurate detection of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in people who are or have been infected by the virus that causes COVID-19.
The validation of the test has been successful and confirms a sensitivity of 96% and a specificity of 93%, which reaffirms the interesting specifications of a test that in justo ver 5 minutes gives a reliable result.
It is worth noting that this serological test from BIOLAN HEALTH has an important differentiation, as it can detect IgG and IgM antibodies that are directed against the Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) of the Spike-1 protein of SARS-CoV2, responsible for the entry of the virus into the cell, and therefore have the potential to be neutralising against SARS-CoV-2.
